Best Way To Check Private Emails / Do Online Shopping At Work And Not Getting Caught?

16 June 2009 284 views 5 Comments

My company tracks my online activities, I wander what is the best ways to check private email such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo mail, etc. at work without getting caught?
I also understand using web anonymous or proxy anonymous software does not help. All online URLs are tracked and recorded before it reaches the proxy server.
I am thinking getting some kind of small device that I can bring to the office daily and check my private email without going through the company ISP. What is the cheapest device I can get that allow me to check web-browser based emails and perhaps shop online?
I think of getting a small laptop and subscribe the wireless broadband services, but the laptop seems like too big to bring to office daily. I also thinking of getting an I-Phone, but the reviews was bad at the time of this writing. Any suggestion?

Is it too much to wait till you get home to check your email ?
If you try to breach their security you risk your job for a breach of contract.
If you MUST have email on the go, look at one of the PDA solutions, that run windows mobile. But check the costs in having them online first

Well if you typed this on the company computer they now know your intentions. You will be watched like a hawk now. You are knowingly putting your job at risk. You have to make a decision now. Email or Job?

Do it at Home. You are at work to work. Not to mention the fact that when you do get caught you can get fired. Is your job NOT that important to you?
